Madonna and Alex Rodriquez - Come on Cougar Is This True?

Could this be true?  Us Weekly is reporting that Alex Rodriguez has been making late-night visits to Madonna's Central Park West apartment.  Apparently, Madonna's doorman is spilling the beans.

Rumors about Madonna's marital troubles with Guy Richie have been swilrling around for some time now. On Tuesday, her spokeswoman shot down the rumors saying "there are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce."

So, we'll have to see what happens with the 49 year old diva and the 32 year old Yankee slugger. Personally, I hope this is isn't true, since A-Rod's wife Cynthia just gave birth to their second daughter less than three months ago.

The Real Cougar Woman On Fox and Friends

On Saturday morning I was interviewed on Fox and Friends. What a great response I got.  The power of the media is absolutely unbelievable.  Since the show, over 10,000 people have visited this blog.  So I send a big thank you to my new friends at Fox.

Jane Bryant Quinn Proves You Can Be A Real Cougar At Any Age

Jane Bryant Quinn and Carll Tucker were married on Saturday. 

Jane is a very smart lady.  She writes a financial column for Newsweek, has authored many books  including "Smart and Simple Financial Strategies for Busy People and was also instrumental in developing the Quicken Financial Planner.   And, if that's not enough to get your attention, she was named as one of the 25 most influential women in the United States by the World Almanac.

So, Jane fits all the criteria to be a Real Cougar, but there's more.  Her new husband just happens to be 13 years younger that she is. Don't these two happy people look like they belong together? 

Jane and Carll only prove it's never too late to be swept off your feet.  True love could be waiting for you around the next corner.  Just make sure you keep your eyes wide open so you don't miss cupid when he shows up with his magic arrow.

Real Cougar Woman's Perfect Guy

I found this article online and loved it.  It was written by Robin Kaye who obvioiusly knows what she's talking about.  Robin gives us the many reasons why a Domestic God is very different from a Domesticated Man.  My question to Robin is where can we find such a rare specimen?  Do these dream men really exist?  And if they do, what kind of woman would we have to be to capture such a treasure?

Writing a Domestic god hero is difficult because the difference between a Domestic god and a Domesticated man is like the difference between a cougar and a house cat. They both purr when they get their ears scratched, they both dislike water, but you’ll never train a cougar to use a litter box. Cougars are cunning, beautiful and definitely a breed all their own—much like the Domestic god. They might have all the same body parts as a house cat, but that’s where the comparison ends. For example:

The Domesticated man does the dishes because he doesn’t want to fight with you about it. A Domestic god does the dishes to give you just the right amount of time to anticipate his arrival in the bedroom.

A Domesticated man will wash and dry the laundry. A Domestic god will do the laundry—but he’ll also wash and dry your hair.

A Domesticated man will pick up the dry cleaning because you told him to. A Domestic god picks up the dry cleaning because he saw it on your to-do list.

A Domesticated man will take your car out to run errands; a Domestic god will take your car out to run errands and fill up your gas tank so you don’t have to.

Domesticated men will grudgingly pick up feminine products only in the most dire of emergencies. Domestic gods don’t mind picking them up anytime, along with some chocolate to make you feel better.

Domesticated men prefer take-out. Domestic gods prefer slow cooking to microwaves in both the kitchen and the bedroom.

Domesticated men will plan weekend trips for two to get away. Domestic Gods will plan romantic weekend trips for two, but will also surprise you with trips for you and your girlfriends.

Every time I write about a Domestic god, I walk a fine line between the hero being--well, a hero, and the hero being a wimp. But after looking at the differences closely, both in real men and fictional men alike, I’ve come to believe that what makes a Domestic god a Domestic god, and a Cougar a Cougar is all in the delivery.

Cougar Power - How Far Can We Take It?

There are some who say that Cougar power won American idol for David Cook as the 40 and over women delivered the votes for the rock and roll singer. Cougars also put Sex and the City to the top of the box office, but can they deliver big numbers in the political world?  Are cougars a voting bloc and can Sarah Palin deliver the cougar vote for McCain over  Barack Obama?

At 44 she is the youngest governor in Alaska history.  Polin can certainly relate to this new power block of American women, I refer to as Real Cougars.

Would McCain dare?  Many believe that she is a great veep choice for lots of reasons but if she can help bring women over to McCain she would be a solid choice.  Obama already has big problems when it comes to older women voters and the more women McCain can pry away from the Illinois senator, the better opportunity he has to win.

She is always mentioned as as a choice for John McCain and he has his work cut out for him, especially with his television appearances.  Palin is great on TV and combined with the possible "cougar power" voting theory that might just be reason enough to grant her a VP nod.  Can she pull it off?  We're going to find out very soon.

Kim Cattrall aka Real Cougar In A New HBO Series

For all you Kim Cattrall fans (and I'm one of them), she has just signed on for a new sexy HBO series.  

This time she's leaving her Sex and the City girlfriends behind as she takes on the role of a middle-aged wife and mother in living in New York.   In the show her character is rediscovering her sexuality and beginning to question her place in the world and the choices she has made.  This very minute how many millions of women are asking themselves those very same questions? Sounds to me like HBO is right on the money.

The new series is called "Sensitive Skin" and it's a remake of a British show. Being the smart cougar that she is, Cattrall insisted on an HBO development deal as part of her overall compensation package for agreeing to star in the ‘Sex and the City.  

Will Kim make a big splash without the magnetic star power of  Sarah Jessica?  My money is on Kim.

By the way, Kim paid a visit to my to my hair salon last Tuesday to have her blond tresses touched up. Everybody was raving about how beautiful she was.  Fifty something looks pretty darn good to me.  Don't you agree?

Sex And The City Was A Knockout - Loved It!

 What a delight!  The Sex and the City movie didn't disappoint.  If you loved Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda on TV you're going to love them on the big screen.

I cried, I laughed and in almost every scene these gals landed on one of my emotional hot spots.  It makes you realize what a gift it is to have a special friend who loves you.  Someone who is there to help pick up the pieces when you get hit with one of life's unexpected curve balls. 

Yes, I know it's only a movie, but the experiences portrayed are very relatable to our own lives.  Not only for the women but for the men too.

Loved Samantha, she did all of us Real Cougars proud. I think by the end of this picture she made peace with who she is and what it takes to makes her happy. And, that realiziation really is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. 

So, take your girlfriends, take your significant other, take your kleenex and go see this movie.

  

Sex And The City New York Premiere - The Four Real Cougars Are A Hit

From this picture taken at the New York premiere last night it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have hugged and made up after Kim's early exit at the London premiere.

I can't wait to see it. Critics are saying the four female stars — not to mention Chris Noth as Mr. Big, David Eigenberg as Steve, and Evan Handler as Harry — are the most appealing ensemble of the year.”

Apparently, Kim Cattrall gets the best lines and the funniest predicaments. She’s allowed her — and Samantha’s — true age to be written into the script. Bravo! Kim and Samantha are the hottest 50-year-olds around. 

Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha — are doing fine since the last episode of the series. Charlotte’s married to Harry and they’ve adopted a little Chinese girl; Miranda is married to Steve, the father of her son, and living in Brooklyn; Samantha is bicoastal, managing the burgeoning career of Smith, her hot young lover; and Carrie is living with Mr. Big, who turns out to be named John James Preston.

All four of these women are Real Cougars and I want to thank them for personifying what I have been saying all along.  Real Cougars can be single or they can be married - it's not about the ring on your finger - it's all about attitude.  Being strong, independent, sexy and confident - those are the magic ingredients.

Sex And The City Premiere - Real Cougar Fight

Apparently everthing isn't so lovey dovey with the four Real Cougars of Sex And The City.  At the London premiere of the movie in Leicester Square Miss Cattrall refused to sit through the film with her female co-stars and left to have dinner with Mario Cantone, who plays wedding planner Anthony.

Publicist Ruth Dallatt acknowledged that Miss Cattrall did leave early saying "the reason that Kim and Mario did not watch the film is that they promised their families that they would watch it for the first time together at the premiere in New York."

It appears that Kim is not happy because Sarah Jessica received a larger paycheck for the movie.  But, she's not the only one to have a problem with the leading lady. Cynthia Nixon could be heard commenting on Miss Parker's flamboyant Philip Treacy hat. "What was SJP wearing on her head?," she was heard to say.

So, these gals may not be bosom buddies, but who cares.  I am going to enjoy seeing the movie and watch them pretend. After all, isn't that what Hollywood is all about?
