Sex and the City Sequel - Not a Done Deal Yet

Hold on Kim Cattrell!  The fate of another Sex and the City movie isn't sealed yet.  Those words coming from lead cougar Sarah Jessica Parker.  It looks like these ladies continue to have difficulty communicating off screen. 

This latest announcement came just one day after Cattrall seemed to hint that the follow-up film was a done deal.  Parker insists Kim's words were a bit premature.

"I'm thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done," Parker said.

Let's rev up the excitement girls - we all know it's coming.

Halle Berry - Sexiest Woman Alive

Esquire Magazine has voted Halle Berry the "Sexiest Women Alive".  Humbly, she accepted this honor saying, "I don't know exactly what it means but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I'll take it,"

Berry went on to say, "sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you damn near get hip dysplasia; it's about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind -- a comfortable state of being". 

Halle has dated Welsey Snipes, Christopher Williams and was married to baseball player David Justice and Eric Benet.  Now she is speaking candidly about her lovers and her orgasms. "There have been some men in my life who have been wickedly sexy and have taught me much about sexual pleasure. There are a few men I should thank, and others I need to forget.  But I don't regret. To hell with regret. I like what I am now. I like being a mother. I like my body better since I became a mother. I feel sexier as a result of becoming a mother."

Not bad for 42!  No wonder the younger guys are standing in line to meet "older women".

Cher A Real Cougar Gets To Play Catwoman

Cher never stops surprising us. This time she will be cast as Catwoman in yet another Batman movie.  In the followup to "The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan wants Cher to portray Catwoman like a vamp in her twilight years.  Apparently this role would have a different spin than the previous Catwomen portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.

Filming of the new flick "The Caped Crusader" is due to start in Vancouver early next year. Christian Bale will be back and there are rumors that Johnny Depp will also be joining the cast as The Riddler.

I love Cher.  At 62 she is really enjoying her life.  This indestructible diva is starring in a song-and-dance concert spectacle at the Colosseum in Las Vegas Caesars Palace and spending time with her 38 year old boyfriend Tim Medvetz. 

Cher is a Real Cougar who has figured out how to get what she wants and is loving what she's creating.  Kudos to you!  Can't wait to see what's next. 

Richard Gere and Diane Lane Back Together Again

If you loved Richard Gere and Diane Lane in "Unfaithful" you're getting another chance to see them together again.  This time it's in "Nights In Rodanthe", which is  based on the international best selling Nicolas Spark novel.  It will be out later this month.

Diane Lane plays Adrienne a woman with her life in chaos, who retreats to the tiny coastal town of Rodanthe, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, to tend to a friend's inn for the weekend. Here she hopes to find the tranquility she so desperately needs to rethink the conflicts surrounding her--a wayward husband who has asked to come home, and a teenaged daughter who resents her every decision.

Almost as soon as Adrienne gets to Rodanthe, a major storm is forecast and Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere) arrives. The only guest at the inn, Flanner is not on a weekend escape but rather is there to face his own crisis of conscience. Now, with the storm closing in, the two turn to each other for comfort and, in one magical weekend, set in motion a life-changing romance that will resonate throughout the rest of their lives.

"The Women" - Life & Loves Of Real Cougars

On September 12th "The Women" will open in a movie theater near you.  It's a remake of the l939 comedy featuring Joan Crawford,Rosalind Russell, Joan Fontaine and Paulette Goddard.  The newer version stars Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Jada Pickett Smith, and Annette Bening.  The title of this film happens to be perfect because you won't be seeing any males on this big screen. You will hear about the men in their lives but you'll never actually catch a glimpse of one.

In the film, Mary Haines seems to have it all -- a beautiful country home, a rich financier husband, an adorable 11-year daughter and a part-time career creating designing for her father's clothing company.  Her best friend, Sylvie Fowler, leads another enviable life--as a happily single editor of a prominent fashion magazine, a possessor of a huge closet of designer clothes and a revered arbiter of taste and style poised on New York's cutting edge. But when Mary's husband enters into an affair with Crystal Allen, a sultry "spritzer girl" lurking behind the Saks Fifth Avenue perfume counter, all hell breaks loose. Mary and Sylvie's relationship is tested to the breaking point while their tight-knit circle of friends all start to question their own friendships and romantic relationships as well. 

This is one of those films where you grab your best girlfriends and go have a good time.  Haven't heard whether you'll need your tissues but take a handful just in case. 

Kim Cattrall aka Real Cougar In A New HBO Series

For all you Kim Cattrall fans (and I'm one of them), she has just signed on for a new sexy HBO series.  

This time she's leaving her Sex and the City girlfriends behind as she takes on the role of a middle-aged wife and mother in living in New York.   In the show her character is rediscovering her sexuality and beginning to question her place in the world and the choices she has made.  This very minute how many millions of women are asking themselves those very same questions? Sounds to me like HBO is right on the money.

The new series is called "Sensitive Skin" and it's a remake of a British show. Being the smart cougar that she is, Cattrall insisted on an HBO development deal as part of her overall compensation package for agreeing to star in the ‘Sex and the City.  

Will Kim make a big splash without the magnetic star power of  Sarah Jessica?  My money is on Kim.

By the way, Kim paid a visit to my to my hair salon last Tuesday to have her blond tresses touched up. Everybody was raving about how beautiful she was.  Fifty something looks pretty darn good to me.  Don't you agree?

Sex And The City Was A Knockout - Loved It!

 What a delight!  The Sex and the City movie didn't disappoint.  If you loved Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda on TV you're going to love them on the big screen.

I cried, I laughed and in almost every scene these gals landed on one of my emotional hot spots.  It makes you realize what a gift it is to have a special friend who loves you.  Someone who is there to help pick up the pieces when you get hit with one of life's unexpected curve balls. 

Yes, I know it's only a movie, but the experiences portrayed are very relatable to our own lives.  Not only for the women but for the men too.

Loved Samantha, she did all of us Real Cougars proud. I think by the end of this picture she made peace with who she is and what it takes to makes her happy. And, that realiziation really is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. 

So, take your girlfriends, take your significant other, take your kleenex and go see this movie.

  

Sex And The City New York Premiere - The Four Real Cougars Are A Hit

From this picture taken at the New York premiere last night it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have hugged and made up after Kim's early exit at the London premiere.

I can't wait to see it. Critics are saying the four female stars — not to mention Chris Noth as Mr. Big, David Eigenberg as Steve, and Evan Handler as Harry — are the most appealing ensemble of the year.”

Apparently, Kim Cattrall gets the best lines and the funniest predicaments. She’s allowed her — and Samantha’s — true age to be written into the script. Bravo! Kim and Samantha are the hottest 50-year-olds around. 

Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha — are doing fine since the last episode of the series. Charlotte’s married to Harry and they’ve adopted a little Chinese girl; Miranda is married to Steve, the father of her son, and living in Brooklyn; Samantha is bicoastal, managing the burgeoning career of Smith, her hot young lover; and Carrie is living with Mr. Big, who turns out to be named John James Preston.

All four of these women are Real Cougars and I want to thank them for personifying what I have been saying all along.  Real Cougars can be single or they can be married - it's not about the ring on your finger - it's all about attitude.  Being strong, independent, sexy and confident - those are the magic ingredients.
